Our New Squarespace Template Created Especially for Interior Designers
Making custom websites is one of the things that Studio Seagraves does best. We love helping our clients’ bring their vision to life by creating e-commerce and portfolio sites that bridge the gap between companies and consumers.
But what about the people who need a website makeover, only their budget won’t allow them to hire us from start to finish? We didn’t want to leave anyone out... so we’ve teamed up with Squaremuse to design a couple Studio Seagraves templates that are compatible with Squarespace websites.
Named after Indio, a desert city located in California’s the Coachella Valley, this template was designed with interior designers in mind. With a heavy focus on imagery, Indio provides an elegant canvas where your portfolio can take center stage. We’re excited to announce that this template is now available on Squaremuse Market!
Mood, Inspiration, and Colors
Going into this design, we first gathered inspiration from the serene style of my favorite designers (including Jenni Kayne and Amber Interiors). We were drawn to a soft color palette of neutral tones, but with gentle accent hues to add some visual interest.
Oftentimes, people overlook the importance of typography online, but the properly chosen font can be the chef’s kiss of a thoughtful design. In this case, we knew we wanted the text to be easy to read, refined, and modern. We’re also big fans of mixing serif and san serif fonts between headings and subheadings — We find that it makes the site more stylized and easier to navigate. We carefully selected a few options that work well together within the design.
Once we organized all our mood boards, it was time to dive into our chosen design programs: Adobe XD and Figma. This is where we started dreaming up all the unexpected details that transform a simple site into something special. In Indio, there are animations during scrolling and built into buttons, demonstrating attention to detail — while vertical text adds modern flair.
Once we had the creative vision for the site created, we sent the designs to Squaremuse to start turning it into a reality. Polina from Squaremuse also worked alongside us as we finalized the site, and this collaborative effort helped make this template even more one-of-a-kind.
All in, this project took about 4-5 months. When you consider the thought, care, and experience that goes into creating a website design, remodeling your business’ site should be considered an investment that will improve your online presence and help you connect with your audience. We know that not everyone can afford to hire Studio Seagraves to handle their web design from start to finish — but now, thanks to our new templates, the same care and attention to detail that we put into our client projects is accessible to all budgets.
We hope you love this template as much as we enjoyed making it. Click HERE to shop — and please get in touch and share your finished site with us! We can’t wait to see how you personalize your Indio.
